André-Patry Conference
Held in memory of André Patry, a longstanding professor in Université Laval’s Faculty of Law and senior Québec government official in the 1960s and 1970s, this annual conference focusses on the international actions of federated entities, here and elsewhere.
First edition
The first edition of the André-Patry Conference will be held on April 12, 2022. It will also celebrate the 57th anniversary of the famous speech delivered by Québec Minister of Education Paul Gérin-Lajoie to the Montréal Consular Corps in 1965.
On the occasion, the CEDAC will receive the eminent specialist on that topic, Yves Lejeune, Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Law and Criminology at the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
The event will be chaired by the Honourable Lorne Giroux, Justice in Residence at Université Laval’s Faculty of Law.
